The European project FINDHR (Fairness and Intersectional Non-Discrimination in Human Recommendation) – which WIDE+ is a part of – will be hosting its final conference, where we will present the main findings and tools developed to tackle intersectional discrimination in algorithmic-assisted recruitment.
The event is hybrid (both in-person and online) and will bring together human resource managers, software developers, policymakers, oversight bodies, civil society organisations, and jobseekers in a space for interdisciplinary dialogue.
Throughout the day, participants will be introduced to the FINDHR toolkits, join panel discussions with leading European experts, and explore technical, legal, and social strategies to build a more fair and responsible hiring process.
Key topics on the agenda:
- Mitigation strategies for technical, pre-existing, and emerging biases in AI-driven recruitment.
- Innovation in software design and its alignment with human resource management
- Current gaps and challenges in regulation, policy, and governance (AI Act, GDPR, anti-discrimination directives).
- The role of equality bodies, civil society, and jobseekers in addressing algorithmic discrimination.
Confirmed and to-be-confirmed speakers and moderators include researchers from the FINDHR consortium, European oversight representatives, and civil society organisations.
Participation is free of charge, but registration is required: click here.
