WIDE+ is a European network of associations. It democratically connects 18 organizational and around 40 individual members. The number of associations involved is indirectly much greater, bringing together approximately 300 associations.
At WIDE+ are always open to welcoming new activists and professionals who share our aspiration to promote an inclusive and transformative feminist vision for our future. We work with individuals and organisations in different capacities.
What are the possibilities for individuals?
- One can join one of our thematic working groups that facilitate online collaboration and at times through face to face meetings on transnational issues impacting women inside and outside Europe. Volunteers can provide their knowledge and views in the working group meetings, often online (from 6-10 meetings per year per working group) and they can take on ad-hoc tasks to complete projects and activities, such as help organize webinars, write articles, join advocacy campaigns, etc.
- Individuals can contact WIDE+ with other proposals for supporting our collective work through donating time; we are especially seeking volunteers to help with external communication and sharing of new knowledge.
What are the possibilities for organisations and groups?
- Our working groups are a mix of individual experts and activists and different type of organisations such as (migrant) women’s led organisations, networks and grassroots groups, development organisations and organisations that promote human rights and sustainable development, of which their focus on gender is a (crosscutting) theme. Organisations and groups can join as partner to thematic working groups.
- We are very interested in new collaborations, such as joining consortia for fundraising, developing a project together or partnering in an existing project.
