I. Mujeres Trabajadoras y Organización Sindical, Septiembre 24
En esta sesión de apertura del seminario internacional daremos una introducción al tema de las 4 sesiones del webinar en cuanto a libre comercio y género, el funcionamiento de los tratados de la UE con el exterior, el acuerdo global/TLCUEM, su propuesta de modernización y sus consecuencias para México y las resistencias de organizaciones de la sociedad civil que confrontan estos tratados.
Dentro del enfoque de este primer webinar presentaremos la perspectiva de las mujeres ex trabajadoras de la industria eléctrica y las organizadas en la red de mujeres sindicalistas, sobre los retos que han tenido que confrontar en sus trabajos y su organización laboral.

II. Mujeres en la Defensa de la Tierra y el Territorio, Octubre 1
Este webinar presentará la situación de las defensoras de la tierra y de los recursos naturales como el agua, de sus luchas y estrategias. Tendremos una comentarista ligando estos temas al tratado de libere comercio UE-Mexico.

IV. Mujeres resistiendo a los Megaproyectos, Octubre 15
En esta última sesión tendremos la perspectiva de una especialista del tema de la importancia geopolítica de proyectos como el tren maya o el corredor interoceánico y el testimonio de una organización regional del Istmo de Tehuantepec afectada por el proyecto del corredor. Esta última nos presentará también sus estrategias de resistencia. Tendremos una comentarista ligando estos temas al tratado de libre comercio UE-Mexico. Habrá además una breve clausura de esta serie de webinars.

The Impacts of Free Trade: Women’s Perspectives on Resistance and the Search for Alternatives.
4 WEBINAR SESSIONS
I. Working class women and labor organising – 24 September
In this first session, we will introduce the webinar series, contextualizing the topics of free trade and gender, how the EU’s free trade agreements operate, the Association agreement between the EU and Mexico and its proposed modernized version, as well as its consequences for Mexico and the struggle of civil society organizations that fighting against it.
In this session, two women, former workers’ of the electric industry, will present their experiences with the national network of trade union women and their local struggles, regarding the challenges they face at the workplace and their labour organizing as forms of resistance.

II. Women in defense of land and territory – 1 October
In this webinar, women defending their land and their natural resources, as water present their experience as well as their struggles and strategies of resistance. We will have a commentator that will try to link these experiences to the free trade agreement between the EU and Mexico.

III. Women defending Human Rights – 8 October
This webinar will present the perspective of and the work done by representatives of the journalist organization Article 19, fighting for freedom of speech and of the organization Centro Pro Juarez advocating human rights. A commentator will try to link these experiences to the free trade agreement between the EU and Mexico.

IV. Women Resisting Megaprojects – 15 October
In this last session, the specialist Ana Esher Ceceña will share her analysis on the geopolitical importance of Megaprojects like the Maya train and the Interoceanic Corridor in the South of Mexico. This will be complemented by a testimony of a local organization at the Tehuantepec isthmus affected by the corridor that is currently struggling against it. These voices will be complemented by a commentator who will try to link these experiences to the free trade agreement between the EU and Mexico and we will close this series with some reflections.
