Letter of WIDE+, CSOs and Unions to European Parliament’s Rapporteurs ‘Gender Equality in EU Trade Agreements’

WIDE+ in collaboration with women’s rights networks and Trade Unions has sent out a letter to the rapporteurs of European Parliament for the planned report on Gender Equality in EU Trade Agreements that should be finalised by 19 September 2017. Concluding that gender issues have been neglected in EU trade policy, the letter supports the recommendations in the European Parliament Working Document and shares with the rapporteurs our additional proposals and suggestions for the draft report. The letter is undersigned by: Both ENDS, European Trade Union Confederation, European Women’s Lobby, FOKUS, International Trade Union Confederation, WO=MEN Dutch Gender Platform and WIDE+.
