About the report:

The report provides an analysis of the gender responsiveness and intersectional approach of the CSDDD proposed by the European Commission in 2022, highlighting opportunities to strengthen gender equality and women’s rights during its implementation. It emphasizes how corporate abuses like labour exploitation, gender-based violence, and land grabbing disproportionately affect women and marginalized groups, who also face barriers to justice and representation. Therefore, it is essential that legislation is gender-responsive and ensures the protection of women’s rights, ActionAid writes.

The report presents 10 key recommendations and is available in English, French and Spanish – download here.
